Ready to reach new heights of success on your next fundraiser? Here's your step by step guide to creating an easier and more effective fundraiser that will supercharge your results!
STEP ONE: MAKE IT SHORTER BUT SWEETER.
Fundraisers that run for a 2 to 3 week duration often perform better than longer campaigns because they create a sense of urgency and avoid seller and buyer fatigue.
STEP two: INSPIRE YOUR TEAM.
Identify who in your community should join your selling team (every family in your group, one classroom, PTA members, staff, etc.) and invite them to a launch party to get them excited. Your enthusiasm is contagious!
Supercharge it! Have an elevator pitch contest.
At your launch party, have people test drive their pitch and give prizes for the best ones.
STEP THREE: BUILD YOUR TOOLKIT.
Before you launch, put together a convenient packet for each of your sellers with all the tools they need to sell! Each packet should include necessary forms, a reminder about goals, rewards and deadlines, and some easy tips and suggestions to help them GET SELLING.
Supercharge it! Send a sample product home with each and every seller.
It's the most powerful way to boost your sales.
STEP four: Break it up.
Break your fundraising goal down into daily & weekly targets for each promoter. That makes the goal feel more reachable and builds in lots of LITTLE successes to keep people inspired and motivated.
STEP FIVE: GET MORE VISIBLE.
It takes at least 3 times seeing a promotion before a person will usually take action. Make sure your fundraiser is visible in high traffic areas near your school or organization.

Supercharge it! Sell lemonade or sweet treats at your table along with your product.
They'll come for the treat and stay for the pitch so you can sell more of both.
STEP SIX: GET MORE DIGITAL!
You can reach a lot more people quickly and efficiently by incorporating email and social media into your promotion plans.
Supercharge it! Last chance is often the best chance to sell.
Most people buy right before the deadline… so make a point to remind them right before the FINAL DEADLINE to spur your sales even higher.
STEP SEVEN: GET PERSONAL!
The more salespeople, the more sales. Get as many students/faculty/staff as possible organized around the effort and encourage them to actively sell person-to-person, as opposed to simply putting up posters and waiting for orders to roll in.

Supercharge it! Give your buyer an incentive to purchase right now.
A grand prize raffle for everyone who purchases by a certain date is a great way to motivate early sales.
STEP EIGHT: Make it Rewarding!
Not all rewards are financial. Keep your community motivated with a mixture of recognition for your best sellers and encouragement for your hesitant promoters. Offer group rewards that everyone can feel good about.
STEP NINE: MAKE IT EASY TO WRAP UP.
At the end of your fundraiser, announce a specified time and place to hand in all final payments collected and return samples and other leftover materials.
Have a calculator, extra pens, and extra copies of all relevant forms available at the turn-in location so the seller can easily complete any remaining paperwork.
That's it! We hope these tips will help you boost your results no matter what fundraising organization you choose to partner with. Chinook Book would be honored to help you achieve your goals.
